This Fluke Tone Generator is one of the best on the market. The kit pictured above has all the attachments you need to troubleshoot any circuit or ethernet/ phone cable. The tone generated is very strong and occasionally bleeds to nearby wires. The receiver with this set is sensitive enough to trace wires in half inch drywall, however stucco finished walls are too dense to be used on. This Fluke tone generator is very handy for identifying wires that are improperly/ incorrectly labeled. To use the tone generator simply attach the black lead to one wire and the red lead to another and turn the tone generator on. This Fluke Tone Generator has 2 modes. You can choose to broadcast a solid tone or a pulsing tone. The light on the front will be solid or flashing depending on which mode you're on. Once you have the tone generator set up and turned on simply hold the button on the probe and wave it over the wires you plan to sort. The tone will get louder the closer you get to the correct wire. To verify that you have found the correct wires simply touch, and hold, the wires together for 2 seconds. When you do this to the correct wires the tone coming from the generator will suddenly change. The Fluke Networks Pro3000 kit also comes with an awesome storage/ carrying case that you can attach to your belt. Both the tone generator and the probe require a 9v battery. The batteries are not included. This is a great alternate to the old "Set Of Phones" that some of us have used for years. Get yours for $99.00 Here.
